Laurie Marcus (Co-ordinator)
Laurie Marcus is a counsellor and Gestalt Therapist with seven
years experience as a counsellor at the Victoria AIDS Council/ Gay
Men's Health Centre. He previously worked in the area of drug
and alcohol addiction. He now works as a member of the Positive
Counselling Team and also in private practice. Laurie has
a Masters in Gestalt Therapy.

Judith Gorst
Judith is a family therapist and registered nurse. She has
extensive STI and HIV/AIDS experience, having worked at the Melbourne
Sexual Health Centre and the Prahran Market Clinic for several years.
She is also in private practice and works as an educator in
pre and post-test counselling.

Annie Norrish
Annie Norrish is a registered nurse, family therapist and accredited
bereavement counsellor. She has a background working with people
with disabilities, sexual heath issues and HIV/HEP C. She
is currently working at the Bereavement Counselling Service and
in private practice. Annie has a Bachelor of Education, Grad.
Dip in Counselling and Human Services and Masters of Couple and
Family Therapy.

Julia Cernaz
Julia is a social worker with 10 years counselling experience including
drug and alcohol work. Julia is also a family therapist and
is interested in working with people in the context of their relationships.
In addition to the Positive Counselling Team and other counselling
work, Julia is currently enrolled in her Masters of Couple and Family
Therapy.

John Singleton
John joined the team in April 2006. John is a sessional counsellor
at VAC/GMHC and also works in private practice. In 2004, he
completed four years of Gestalt Therapy training in Melbourne and
did further gestalt studies in the USA in 2005. John's background
is in social research where his research interests include chronic
illness, men's health, and fatherhood. He is currently completing
his Masters in Clinical Psychology, and further training in couples
counselling.
